Saim’s Restaurant

Welcome to Saim’s Restaurant, a delightful culinary gem nestled in the heart of Huddersfield, England. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional dishes, Saim's offers a rich tapestry of flavors that pays homage to traditional Punjabi cuisine. As a food reviewer from Pops Cafe, I had the pleasure of experiencing their offerings, and let me tell you, it was an adventure for the senses.

Saim’s Restaurant specializes in a variety of authentic dishes that are sure to ignite your taste buds. One highlight is their renowned Lamb Sukha Bhuna, featuring succulent spring lamb shoulder, stir-fried with traditional Punjabi spices and generously garnished with fresh coriander. This dish alone is a testament to the kitchen's commitment to quality and flavor, priced affordably at £13.50.

From the moment you step inside, it is clear that Saim’s prioritizes an inviting dining experience. The decor is modern, and there's ample seating on the upper levels, making it a suitable spot for business dinners or cozy gatherings with friends. Customers have lauded the major highlight of the venue: the food. One diner, mazzy kayy, expressed amazement at the picturesque flavors, especially enjoying the bread rolls served with a fabulous steak sauce, followed by a delicious chop and chicken platter.

Another patron, David Gilbank, shared his stellar experience at a business dinner, praising a shrimp starter prepared in a Pakistani style alongside a delectable mixed grill. He noted the service was exceptional, further enhancing the overall dining experience. That said, it's worth mentioning a few mixed reviews regarding service wait times, particularly concerning lamb deliveries. However, the consensus remains that the food, when it arrives, shines enough to outweigh the delays.

Additionally, for those who crave comfort food, the restaurant presents tasty options like the smash burger, which one enthusiastic diner described as being on par with the well-loved Five Guys. While the fries could use improvement, the burger's flavor profile more than compensates for it, reflecting Saim's commitment to quality across their menu.

The food in this place is gorgeous. The flavour of everything is spot on. I’ve been here numerous times and have finally got round to reviewing it because I thought I’d recommend it to whoever reads this review! We got bread rolls to start with steak sauce- fabulous. We had a chop and chicken platter and a tawa for four as our main and all of these items were delicious! The lamb chops in this place are to die for. The only small niggle that I have is that the portion sizes are not the best for what you pay. The chicken in the platter was quite small and as was the size of the tawa. I’ve definitely seen bigger portions for the same price. But otherwise, everything was so flavourful and hot when served! Some of the other reviews have mentioned that there is a limited number of staff which slows the service down- this is true as I’ve had to wait well over an hour for my food in the past. But if you don’t mind waiting whilst it is busy I guess this wouldn’t be an issue. The food is definitely worth the wait!

Went in for a business dinner and boy, was the food good! Had a delicious shrimp starter, Pakistani syle, and a mixed grill that the whole table shared. The service by the staff was exceptional and the food was spectacular. Very good prices. The decor is modern and theres loads of seating upstairs. Highly recommended. Definitely one to give a go.

Went for a Tava meal for . After mins of seating we were advised we would have to wait over an hour as the lamb from suppliers arrived late. The service was very average, the atmosphere was poor, decor was very average. Though the food when it finally arrived was good, it wasn’t a great dining experience and we weren’t offered any discount or extras for the wait we had to endure, we will probably try another venue next time.

Just had the smash burger, from a recommendation of a friend. They mentioned it was just like Five Guy'sI thought to myself it can't be, Five Guy's being my go-to place for burger's and fries.Well, packaging, looks and taste all on a par with five Guy's. The fries could have been better, but I went for the burger anyway and no complaints at all.Polite staff and from the looks of it a lovely clean family restaurant. Will definitely come back here and try the rest of the menu.
